Janell Jordan
SHE/THEY
Janell is dedicated to supporting projects that radicate systems change through community co-design. Their work is grounded in the essential need of curating spaces that center joy, rest, and self-actualization as vital components of liberation.
Janell is passionate about the human experience in how it informs what we receive, process, and how we digest information — and bridging those gaps in communication and understanding. They are a tinkerer and enjoy working through complex problems in good company and better coffee. If they could have a say in their legacy, it would be to model the embodiment of love as an art form and daily practice — love of self, love of community, love of spirit, love as a modality for change. A bit of a self-acclaimed blerd they enjoy moving their body through kickboxing and yoga, traveling, reading sci-fi, watching anime, and spending time outdoors.
“… poetry is not a luxury. It is a vital necessity of our existence. It forms the quality of light within which we predicate our hopes and dreams toward survival and change, first made into language, then into idea, then into more tangible action. Poetry is the way we helped give name to the nameless so it can be thought. The farthest horizons of our hopes and fears are cobbled by our poems, of our daily lives.”
