Paige Reischl

SHE/HER

Project Coordinator

Paige taught reading and writing at Meany Middle School and Cleveland High School. She also served as Project Lead for Pongo Poetry Project at the Clark Children and Family Justice Center at the Clark Children and Family Justice Center, King County’s youth detention facility, where her work was guided by the belief that youth should not be kept from us.

A lifelong lover of reading and writing, Paige’s favorite part of teaching middle and high school is sitting alongside youth as they explore writing. She believes that everyone deserves to feel a sense of belonging and has never met a young person who didn’t reinforce her belief in youth brilliance. She is always amazed at the ways young people reflect and express the beautiful and challenging things they carry in their hearts.
In her free time, Paige loves hiking, cooking, poetry, and watching her boys play soccer. She imagines a world where we are all guided by the stories, experiences, hopes and dreams of our youth.
“Maybe the purpose of being here, wherever we are, is to increase the durability and occasions of love among and between peoples.”
